Nets should be at least 9 feet wide, and 12 feet is ideal. If the nets are less than 24 feet long, they should be at least 9 feet high; if they are less than 36 feet long, they should be at least 10 feet high; and if they are more than that, they should be at least 12 feet high. When balls are bowled, they do not end up on the roof of the nets.
Training balls are ideal for practising and fine-tuning methods, and are used by both professionals and amateurs. Tennis balls for cricket are available in both hard and soft versions. Junior players will benefit from the softer versions. The more difficult ones are better at simulating cricket match circumstances.
